We always try to include an inspirational talk or demonstration during these weekends, and Yoko was so popular that we asked her to come back again! She has a beautiful style of presentation, self effacing and humorous, but with a precise, detailed and exquisite execution of her art and skill. Her demonstration was mesmerising to watch and so interesting and informative behind such beauty and simplicity! The finished products were absolutely stunning! All of our course participants were totally inspired and captivated by the beauty of the arrangements and by Yoko’s knowledge and her lovely and engaging personality. We all learnt so much from Yoko and were transported watching and listening to her.

I was also pleasantly surprised at how therapeutic Ikebana could be and as someone who is fond of painting once in a while, how Ikebana could be used as a means of expression as well.
I think it’s also important to have a great teacher which can make the experience much more fun and easy. Yoko is a wonderful lady and she taught the class with so much patience. Her understanding, knowledge and passion for Ikebana is evident and her classes are so well organised, easy to understand and insightful. In the class we attempted 3 different arrangements and with Yoko’s encouragement and guidance, I think it’s safe to say I did better than I expected from myself!

Yoko was very friendly, kind, knowledgeable and expert in her art. Her explanation was also easy to understand. She respects your work and gives you sound advice to make your work better. The atmosphere of class was great too; calm, relaxing and happy. I was able to tell my mind was soothing. I highly recommend this workshop for those who want to learn Ikebana.
